We’ve now been on the road for a full year, which puts us into Season 2 here at Tumblewagon Video. As you’ll see from the video, in July 2009 the three of us split up to take a little hiatus from RVing and go our separate ways for the summer. We’d all been staying with various friends and family for the month of June in and around Pittsburgh, PA, and on the 4th of July Olivia flew to Portland, I began a roadtrip to Lake Tahoe and Tristan stayed in Pittsburgh to soak up as much of his brother’s time as he could. This video is the story of one of those experiences, namely, Nathan in Tahoe.

Various photos from our travels on the final day of our cross-country jaunt. We took these traveling through Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Phil took the majority of them, by the way, with his wonderful real deal camera (unlike my puny little digital that I fits in my back pocket and has been in every cave, sandstorm and bar fight I’ve seen over the past 4 years – thanks babe!)

They’re mostly your standard “from shotgun, through the window” type of photos, but some beauties nonetheless.

Leaving Pittsburgh, we hit St. Louis at sunset, and it was easily the most gorgeous, vibrant nighttime city skyline I’ve ever seen. I’ll definitely need to go back to St. Louis at some point and spend some healthy living time there, at least a week or two. The second day had us entering the Rockies and cruising past Denver just as the sun went golden over the mountains. Golden, Colorado really isn’t in any way an exaggeration.

Tomorrow we should be dipping our toes in that Tahoe Blue!

While taking it slow is the name of the game in the RV, for this countrywide jaunt we’ve hopped everything between Pennsylvania and Missouri, greeted by a gorgeous lengthy sunrise over the fields surrounding St. Louis and the city’s amazing skyline.
