Return to Marathon
Moments ago we pulled ourselves back into Marathon, TX, that sleepy town of somewhere-around-but-who-knows-for-sure 400 people in the middle of West Texas. Unfortunately, our friend the park owner isn’t in town as he’s off running a marathon of his own over some Colorado mountain, but we’re excited to see plenty of other folk in this town with two bars, one grocery store and not much else. Oh joy!

Hey, I spent a night there on July 29th (ROOM 11) due in part to your great video, which i’ve seen a few times now. I took a weeks vacation to do a motorcycle tour to Big Bend from Houston the last week of July. i have now seen many of your videos and enjoy them very much. I especially enjoy the backround music you use (love the opening song) on them. I truly think your videos are on to something as you seem to capture a certain essence of true family life on the road and/or in general. Keep making them please! Tell tristan i’ll be showing my newly turned 8th year old girl his new Civil War card game.
Here’s a link of my photos of the trip.

We’ll be making them for the foreseeable future, Aldo! Glad that video helped to show you a little about Marathon. :)
Nice pics on your Flickr account, too, looks like an epic journey. I’m making a trip on scooter from Denver to Austin in about a month so I’m definitely excited about that whole plan, never gone that far on two wheels…
FYI, though all of our videos are here on tumblewagon, we’re using Vimeo now rather than YouTube (if you keep up via those channels rather than the blog).
Grand Canyon video coming soon and keep in touch!
