   Grand Canyon comes out this Friday, Rich.

   I must be honest, our couple of weeks or so with Ryan were easily some of the best times we’ve had this entire year, and certainly the best consecutive 18 days thus far. He’s become such a mature kid…it’s amazing the transformation from just last year to this summer. We loved having him and he adds soooo much to equation.

   Of course, I’ll forgive him for being able to hike up the canyon faster than me, but only this once. Next time he’ll be shown just how quickly one can descend the canyon thanks to gravity and a general lack of anything stopping a backpacked person’s fall, when they attempt to show up the alpha male. :)
