Statehoppers

After an all-star 4th of July romp in my beautiful hometown of Pittsburgh PA, my friend Phil and I hopped in a rental car, Western-bound for the blue waters of Lake Tahoe.

While taking it slow is the name of the game in the RV, for this countrywide jaunt we’ve hopped everything between Pennsylvania and Missouri, greeted by a gorgeous lengthy sunrise over the fields surrounding St. Louis and the city’s amazing skyline.

Back on the road in the early am, hopefully photos to follow tonight. Colorado here we come!

  1. In my mental picture of that trek, Pittsburgh to St. Louis seems much further than its 600 miles. I guess that means I need to get out there and state hop myself.

  2. Yeah, 600 miles does seem short, but considering 240 miles is almost 4 hours of driving…it’s been a wild romp so far. We’re finally in Colorado, so no more endless boring plains, tractor after tractor. It’s all crags and cliffsides from here. :)
