Was number 36 taken through a window? Looks like it has focussed on the dirt and therefore the background is out of focus.
And you know, dust is one thing we have lost in digital photography. Slides or scanned pictures invariably had dust, fluff or scratches from the handling they got.
Not sure whether I miss it or not. Yes, it was a nuisance. But it was also an indication of something real about the photo. Digital photography is just bits on a disk – it doesn’t have the same tangible feeling.

Yeah David, the picture was taken through the RV’s windshield while we were moving I think. That’s specifically what I was into, the blur and dirt.
I hear you on the tangible vs. digital thing. The same with mp3s vs. having a record / CD collection. It’s cool to have the book and look through them and everything, but mp3s (and digital photos) are good for the environment, and just more convenient in a lotta ways. You give some you get some…
