Marathon My Love
Olivia posted this in Olivia's Diary, Personal Posts
We’ve been staying at the toasty little Marathon Motel & RV park for about a month now. It very quickly stole it’s way into my heart and became my home so it’s hard to believe we’ll be moving onto something new in just a few days. Out here time slows down and life is easier than I’ve ever imagined it could be. There is time to lie in the garden, ride bikes, make fires… there is time to sit in the sunshine… there is time to breathe.
It’s absolutely beautiful here, desolate, isolated, hardly worn but well lived in… I hope my photos today and in a few days manage to bring that out and tempt you to come out here on a whim. It is a special town, but most of all I’ll miss the warm and fascinating people I’ve met here, many who have travelled from very far and stopped here for the night on the way to somewhere else, only to discover Marathon is the home they have searched for all their lives.
It’s got a magical hold over my heart. I will think of this place always.

Where did ya get that dog? Is he now a part of your travels.
I always want a dog where I work. A cool dog that mainly just lays around and will sometimes come over to see what you’re doing. I would name him “Office Dog”. He would probably be pretty small, too.
