Even though it is half a world away, Marathon and the countryside surrounding it could be anywhere in outback Australia. The ramshackle buildings, the windmills, the dry yellow grass, the rocky hills, even the park are so typical. Just goes to show that the country and even the people around the world are not all that different from each other.

Well put, David. Similar terrain or not, I do hope to have the opportunity to explore Australia some day.
