My Dad is Almost 30

Note from Dad: It’s 9:18 and Tristan is tucking into bed. He notices that I’m basically getting everything ready to go to bed myself…
Tristan: Are you going to bed now too?
Dad: Yeah, I’m tired. I’m young too, you know.
T: Nuh uh, you’re 29, you’re almost 30.
D: I had a dream I turned 30 last night.
Olivia: Wait, how old are you?
D: I’m 29, baby, I’m young and in my 20′s!
T: When you turn 30, then you’ll be a grown up.

Oh, and T, just so you know, being 30 doesn’t make you a grown up. Just look at Nana and me. We’re just kids ourselves.

We keep Olivia around as part of our “save the elderlies” program. After her many decades of service to this country we thought it was only appropriate that we give her a warm place to stay (read:keep clean) and something meaningful to do (read:cook for us) during the final days of her Golden Years.

Ahhh…but you guys are forgetting (SURELY you already knew this?!) that women only get BETTER as they age! (Just don’t ask what my husband jokes as I pass each birthday!)

That does seem to be the truth, Jill. Women are like wine, they improve with age…unless you don’t put a tight cork in them or they get too old and go all vinegary. :P
