Tristan’s Birthday was last Friday

Tristan was lucky enough to celebrate his 7th birthday in the beautiful city of Memphis, TN, which in hind site, is not as bad as I perhaps first thought. (Though, we’re now in Austin, and it’s the bamboozle of goodness!)
Here’s a little list I made to guide us through the day. More of a record of the day for us, but feel free to enjoy!
Step 1: pancake breakfast and presents
Step 2: 43 bus to downtown
Step 3: beale & 3rd / horse & carriage rides
Step 4: trolley ride to the fire museum ($12 for both adults, $5 for T)
Step 5: mud island
Step 6: river walk
Step 7: afternoon dinner
Step 8: make cake and decorate together

how was Mud Island? I remember walking down the scaled ‘waterpark’ type thing they have of the Mississippi River when I was 8 years old!

Unfortunately, we never made it to Mud Island…the park closed at 5pm, but last entry was at 4pm.
We missed it literally by 1 minute, because of this monstrously fat lady who, though she could walk, decided she needed to use a wheelchair to get on and off of the trolley…
